The story of an ex-cop (Mark Whalberg) who is hired by the mayor of New York City (Russell Crowe) to follow the politican's wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones). After the detective confirms the mayor's fears that his wife is cheating on him, the wife's paramour turns up dead and a larger scandal begins to surface.
LES MISERABLES
Russell Crowe has signed on to join the big-screen adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, playing the heartless police inspector Javert, who persecutes Hugh Jackman's impoverished Jean Valjean after the man steals bread to feed his family. Geoffrey Rush as Monsieur Thenardier, Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, and Emma Watson as Cosette.
MAN OF STEEL
Russell Crowe will fill big shoes in the movie, which stars Henry Cavill in the title role. Crowe has been cast as Superman's birth father, Jor-el, played originally by Marlon Brando in the film. Julia Ormond stars as the caped crusader's mother, and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as his adoptive Earth parents.
